Reading from the Hebrew Scriptures               1 Kings 19:1-15a
How many times have you been asked the question  . .
. What are you doing here?
When you were a mischievous little child
probing the deep dark secrets
of your parent’s  bedroom . . .
and one of them suddenly walked into the room . . .
you certainly heard that question . . .
Fear suddenly overwhelmed you.
