It was … a dark and stormy night.
Well, actually, there was no storm.
But it was dark and cold and rainy.
I walked through the darkened church,
working methodically.
I went to the office to get the microphone.
Walked into the sanctuary.
Turned on one—just one—overhead light.
Turned on the porch lights.
Set up the tables, put out the song books.
Gathered the candles.
Found the lighter.
